Join our evening Grow Group! Why is it important to know and study our church's confession of faith? Isn't the Bible more important? The answer to that second question is yes, absolutely. Our confession, the Westminster Confession states that immediately in the first section. But studying a faithful and historic confession roots us in the historic Christian faith. It protects us from being carried away by every wind of doctrine. The simple and best answer to why study the Westminster Confession is this; it helps us to know God and Jesus Christ whom He has sent (John 17:3).
